Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Fintrack, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Terms defined in the Privacy Policy have the same meaning here.

2. What Fintrack is - and is not

Fintrack is a personal finance tracking tool. It lets you record wallets, transactions, budgets, and savings goals, and ask an AI assistant questions about your own data.

Fintrack does not manage real money. It is a record-keeping and visualization tool only. It does not execute transfers, move funds, process payments, or interact with banking systems in any way. All data recorded in Fintrack is entered manually or imported from files you upload yourself.

Fintrack does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Data, charts, analytics, and AI-generated responses are based exclusively on the information you have entered. If that information is incomplete or inaccurate, the outputs will be too. Do not make financial decisions based solely on what Fintrack shows you.

3. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use Fintrack. By creating an account you confirm this.

You must provide a valid email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately at support@fintrack.app.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • access or attempt to access another user's account or data;
  • probe, scan, or attempt to circumvent security or rate-limiting measures;
  • reverse-engineer any component of the Service or its API;
  • upload malicious files or content that violates applicable law;
  • use automated tools to interact with the Service in ways not explicitly supported;
  • use the AI assistant for purposes other than personal finance management;
  • register personal data of third parties without their explicit consent;
  • share, sell, or sublicense your account access to third parties;
  • create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits or other restrictions;
  • use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable laws or regulations.

5. Prohibited use for illegal activities

You agree not to use Fintrack to record, conceal, justify, or manage data related to illegal activities of any kind. Fintrack reserves the right to suspend or permanently delete any account upon reasonable suspicion of improper use, without obligation to prove the underlying conduct and without prior notice. Users and third parties may report suspected abuse to support@fintrack.app.

6. Plans and features

Fintrack offers a Free plan and a Premium plan.

The Free plan includes core features with certain limits (up to 10 tags; up to 3 active savings goals). The Premium plan unlocks additional features, including the spreadsheet import, the AI assistant, and smart alert emails.

During early access, Premium features may be made available at no cost; this does not create a permanent entitlement. Final pricing, billing terms, and any grace periods for existing users will be communicated before paid plans are activated.

Plan limits and Premium conditions may be modified in the future. Changes will be communicated with reasonable advance notice. Users with an active Premium subscription at the time of a price change will not be affected until their current billing period ends.

7. AI assistant

The AI assistant is powered by a third-party AI model. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. It does not constitute professional financial advice. See the Privacy Policy for details on how your data is shared with the model and how private transactions are protected.

Daily usage limits apply to the AI assistant. These limits reset at midnight UTC.

8. Spreadsheet import (Premium)

The import feature lets you upload spreadsheet files (.xlsx, .xls, .csv) to categorize and import transactions in bulk. Files are parsed in your browser; raw file data is not stored on our servers. AI-assisted categorization is provided as a convenience and may not be perfectly accurate. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming imported data before saving it.

9. Availability

Fintrack does not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, technical issues, or events beyond our control may cause temporary interruptions. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, with reasonable advance notice where possible.

If the Service is ever discontinued, users will be given a reasonable grace period to export their data before permanent shutdown.

10. Your data

You own the financial data you enter into Fintrack. You are solely responsible for its accuracy, truthfulness, and legality. Fintrack does not verify the information you enter.

If you lose access to your data because of your own actions - for example, by deleting your account without first exporting your data - Fintrack has no obligation to recover it.

11. Intellectual property

All content, code, design, and trademarks constituting the Fintrack Service are the exclusive property of Fintrack. Reproduction, copying, or modification without written authorization is prohibited. Your data remains yours at all times.

12. Account termination by the user

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Upon requesting deletion, your account enters a 30-day deactivation period during which you can contact us at support@fintrack.app to cancel the process and reactivate your account. After 30 days, all your data is permanently and irreversibly deleted. Export your data before initiating deletion if you wish to keep a copy.

13. Account suspension by Fintrack

Fintrack may suspend or permanently terminate your account in the following circumstances:

  • violation of these Terms of Service or our Privacy Policy;
  • reasonable suspicion of fraudulent, abusive, or illegal use of the Service;
  • security risk to the Service or to other users;
  • failure to pay, once paid plans are active;
  • requirement of applicable law or a competent authority.

In cases involving imminent security risk or illegal activity, suspension may occur without prior notice. In other cases, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you beforehand. If you believe a suspension was made in error, contact us at support@fintrack.app.

14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by Argentine law, Fintrack is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for financial decisions made on the basis of information provided by the Service.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated in advance. Continued use of Fintrack after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. Any disputes arising from the use of Fintrack will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the ordinary courts of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
